The National Atomic Testing Museum, the first museum of its kind in the nation. An invaluable resource, the museum provides multiple viewpoints on the work conducted at the Nevada Test Site and its impact on the nation. The 8,000 square foot permanent exhibit hall includes artifacts on loan from personal collections, the Smithsonian Institution, Lawrence Livermore Laboratory and pieces of the Berlin wall and World Trade Centers. Designed to be a highly interactive experience, the exhibits include touch screens, motion-sensitive plasma TV presentations, audio interviews with former workers from the test site, and various other multi-media components.

NEVADA NATIONAL SECURITY SITE TOURS :

Full day, free general interest tours to the Nevada Test Site are also available and depart from the museum monthly. There are strict rules in order to take this tour including proper dress code (no shorts/sandals), age-limit of 14+ years old; no cell phones, cameras or computers, firearms, and a background check is required. You MUST arrange tours months in advance and be cleared by background investigators before taking this tour.

The museum is a great place for meetings and receptions with a small auditorium that holds approximately 200 guests. The lobby is also used for various functions with WiFi and on-site catering available as well.
