Digital Signage Expo 2010, held in Las Vegas in February, had its largest attendance to date with 4,979 attendees including exhibitors. This is up 21% versus 2009. Equally important, we had our highest quality attendance including all-important end users of digital signage, up 44% from 2009. Based on our day-to-day attendance stats, we also believe they stayed longer than 2009. In addition, we had 778 (15.6%) foreign visitors from 59 countries, another record for DSE. Canada was number one, but we had strong attendance from many other parts of the world.

Thank you so very much ARIA and MGM Mirage for hosting the 2010 Annual Business Conference for HelmsBriscoe. Walking into the ARIA Resort & Casino, in the new $8.5 billion City Center complex in Las Vegas, is amazing. What stands out is not the casino but the breathtaking design, art, architecture, its shimmering cascades of curving glass and artful angles, iconic designs of metal and stone, art collections, the fact that this place is really awesome. Wednesday evening we had the amazing Opening Welcome Reception & Dinner at the beautiful Caesar's Palace, with Julius Caesar, Cleopatra, and all the Knights welcoming us. The Hilton Worldwide Dinner started with a delightful reception with delicious appetizers and cocktails. The seated dinner to kick off our ABC conference was delightful, delicious and the presentation was the BEST. I Validate you!

One thing we have found in using Las Vegas as a destination for our programs is that we will always have a good turn out. Las Vegas offers easy flight access from many cities across the United States and we have found that many of our attendees will stay an extra day to enjoy the entertainment and or sites Las Vegas has to offer. I believe the LVCVA provides the experience; professionalism and enthusiasm to assist any meeting planner reach their goal of a successful meeting or special event. Go ahead and give them a shot!

It's no wonder why Las Vegas is considered the tradeshow capital of the world with their great facilities, restaurants, hotels, shows, nightlife, golf courses and unmatched hospitality ... you name it and Las Vegas has something for everyone. The good news is there hasn't been a better time than now to bring your convention or industry event to Las Vegas with airfares and hotel room rates at their lowest levels in years. Combine this with their unmatched convention and hotel facilities and it's a no-brainer. When we first decided to move our tradeshow to Las Vegas in 1994 our attendance jumped 78%! What's even better is we've set attendance records the last four years in a row!

Las Vegas is like my second home. For the past 6 years of my meeting planning profession, my company has attended and exhibited in countless events and trade shows in Las Vegas. I have nothing but good to say about Las Vegas. The staff members are friendly, knowledgeable and more than accommodating. Besides, where else can you have everything you want all in one place?
