Passports: According to the U.S. Department of State, all international visitors traveling to the United States need a passport.
Visas: Most visitors from countries under the Visa Waiver Program (including the United Kingdom, France, Spain, Japan and Germany, among others) do not need a visa. Travelers must have a valid Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) approval and meet specific requirements in order to qualify for the program. Visitors from countries outside of the waiver program will need a nonimmigrant visa. For more information on obtaining a visa, visit Travel.State.gov.
